Building Service Contractors of NZ (BSCNZ) is the trade association for the NZ Cleaning industry - we represent many employers who require the services of Commercial Cleaners throughout NZ.

You will be employed directly by one of our members who will provide you with an Employment Agreement, uniform, and any required tools of trade.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

This role is with a property management services company specialising in large format retail stores, commercial & industrial facilities. Your role will be to assist and support the Waikato Area Manager and primarily supervises the daily operations and the cleaning team. You will be based in Hamilton or Tauranga with travel required to both regions as required by the business to different sites, liaising with clients in this busy customer-facing role.

A large part of your shift will be hands-on working with the team, flexibility is required in this position, from early mornings or late nights would be when your core hours are worked, we are looking for someone who is adaptable and has flexible availability. The business runs 7 days a week this role requires for you to have the right can do this role covers all facets of the business.

SHIFT DETAILS:

  • Monday Sunday
  • 40 hours per week

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE

  • Client Liaison
  • Cover staff absence
  • Managing staff rosters
  • Maintaining all equipment to ensure it is fit for purpose,
  • Staff recruitment, induction & training
  • Management of labour hours within budget
  • Administrative tasks to support Operational Manager.
  • OH&S training & reporting and monitoring.
  • Quality control of contracts & organisation of auditing process
  • Customer Relations
  • Maintaining clients security
  • Managing performance of cleaners and other Supervisors.
  • Commercial cleaning

WHAT DO I NEED'

  • Full NZ Drivers licence
  • Minimum of 1 year proven supervisory experience
  • Relevant management qualification would be a bonus
  • A strong customer service focus
  • Ability to self manage and work unsupervised
  • Previous commercial cleaning
  • Computer Skills Word and excel, outlook,
  • Outstanding leadership capability across a diverse workforce
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to implement change.
  • Understanding of the OH&S function within the market sector
  • Experience in managing staff performance.
  • Tidy presentation
  • Ability to build strong Internal relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills.
