Due to strong growth, we are looking for candidates for Special Equipment Operators.

Your job as a Special Equipment Operator in a nutshell:
  • Loading and unloading material, carrying out assembly preparations and checking material.
  • Assembly and disassembly on-site; performing further preparatory work.
  • Participating in the operational progress during lifting operations.
  • Reporting, discussing and solving ad hoc problems on-site.
  • Performing technical maintenance work.

In this function you’ll report to the planning supervisor. Sometimes you will work in a small team of about 3 persons, sometimes you will work in a larger team.


We are looking for a stress-resistant initiator, a team player who gives it his all and combines technical insight with a passion for large machines and outdoor work. A good diploma or a first experience is a good asset, but at Sarens we attach more importance to the right mentality and the Sarens match. This requires logical insight, a sense of responsibility and an eye for safety, a doer's mentality, a flexible attitude and a pronounced interest in large machines, exceptional work and technique in general.

The profile requirements
  • You have a technical graduate or bachelor degree or are equivalent through experience.
  • You have a strong logical insight and stand out because of your learning ability. You pick things up quickly and are capable of evolving towards a supervisor role in the long term.
  • You steal with your ears and eyes where possible. In addition, you look critically at the situation. If something is not clear or seems unsafe, you dare to start a stop & consult procedure.
  • Fluent in Dutch + good basic knowledge of English. You are able to communicate with colleagues, project managers and clients from all over the world.
  • Basic computer skills and administrative accuracy.
  • Flexible attitude towards tasks, working hours (!!) and locations (Europe).

As a Special Equipment Operator at Sarens, you have a challenging position with a lot of responsibility and variety. You are an indispensable link in large projects from start to finish.
